Seasalt sees 15% Christmas sales growth
Seasalt sales grew 15% in the five weeks to Dec 31 with store revenues up 24% and online sales via partners including M&S and Next were up 57% but overall online sales were down 2% over 2021.
Frasers Group exposure to Hugo Boss falls to £580m
Frasers Group investment in Hugo Brand has fallen to £580m with the group now holding a 3.9% stake with an additional 25% via put options down from a 4.3% stake and 30.3% via put options.
Christmas footfall highest since pandemic
BRC-Sensormatic IQ Footfall Monitor figures show total UK footfall up by 15.1% year on year over the festive period with shopper numbers in high streets and malls up in 2022.
Boots’ sees strong performance
Boots’ saw an 8.7% increase in like-for-like sales for the three months to November marking its seventh consecutive quarter of sales and market share growth with a record-breaking Black Friday.
The UK subsidiary of Decathlon saw sales up 25.4% for the year ended 31 December 2021 at £283m, and its operating profit was £2.6m, an increase from the £3m loss in the previous year
Dune sets eyes on further international expansion
Dune is expanding its international sales – which now account for 26% of all sales - and has plans to open 10 stores in the Middle East in the coming year, with an emphasis on Saudi Arabia.

How to get your brand on the January Editorial Calendars
January is all about fitness and health and getting back on track after a Christmas and New Year Holidays break, plus it’s about starting to prepare for outfits and gifts for Valentine’s Day next month. But also, we’re looking forward to next season so make sure anything SS23 is flagged on your drops. Plus, as we’re mid-winter there will still be searches for anything cosy, so pyjamas, slippers, coats, hygge, winter warmers, knitwear, scarves and everything warm.
