How to get your brand on the June Editorial Calendars

Summer is here - and hopefully the weather will improve – so add anything summery including summer clothing, swimwear, and push anything to do with outside so garden furniture, anything for a garden party, or a picnic or barbecue, and don’t forget to add all of the other spellings BBQ, Bar-B-Que etc and we’re also at the start of the festival season, so make sure you add festival, Glastonbury, to your keyword lists.

Media are starting to ramp up the summer holiday features so swimwear, suitcases, travel bags, travel accessories etc are all images and keywords that you should be adding. Some people are still staying at home, so it’s probably a good idea to think of holidays closer to home, so add in keywords and phrases like “staycation” “holistay” “holiday at home” to your keywords and why not suggest clothing like hoodies, and cardigans for the colder UK evenings.

Also look at sports, particularly anything tennis-related for Wimbledon.

June Diary - Weeks/Months

June is LGBTQ Pride Month, National Smile Month, it’s also Wimbledon (27th-10thJuly) and Royal Ascot (14th-18th), and the return of the Glastonbury festival (22nd-26th).

June - Days

24th – Take your dog to work Day

24th – Midsummer’s Day

27th – Wimbledon fortnight starts

30th – International Asteroid Day

How to make your products attractive to the media in July

Summer is here so keep on adding anything summery to your keywords and descriptions eg summer clothing, swimwear, and push anything to do with outside so garden furniture, anything for a garden party, or a picnic or barbecue, and don’t forget to add all of the other spellings BBQ, Bar-B-Que etc and other related keywords like picnic.

As we’re now free to go where we like and the festivals are back up and running the mags and websites influencers are all looking for festival wear, beachwear (bikinis, shorts, trunks etc are all being searched for), and the latest trends in summer clothing with gingham, ditzy, Y2K and retro all seeing more traffic

But not everyone is going abroad, the cost-of-living crisis is cutting the money in everyone’s wallets so shoppers are looking at holidays closer to home, so add in keywords and phrases like “staycation” “holistay” “holiday at home” to your keywords and why not suggest clothing like raincoats, coats, hoodies, and cardigans and if you have them then firepits and chimineas for the colder UK evenings would be good.

July Diary - Weeks/Months

July is Independent retailer month, and National Ice Cream month in the US, it’s also sees the conclusion of Wimbledon (27th-10thJul) the start of the Commonwealth games in Birmingham (28th Jul - 8th Aug), plus the UEFA Women’s Euros (6th-31st July), and Cowes Week (30th Jul - 5th Aug).
